President Buhari Reappoints 12 Ambassadors

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has endorsed the re-arrangements of 12 non-vocation ambassadors.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, unveiled this in an announcement on Thursday.

The declaration came scarcely 24 hours after the President mentioned the endorsement of the Senate for the affirmation of 41 non-profession and one vocation ambassadorial chosen people.

Shehu cited Buhari as guaranteeing Nigerians of decency in portrayal and comprehensiveness in all issues of administration.

He said the confirmation from the President became fundamental after late protests after the declaration of 41 non-profession envoys that a few states were not caught.

The presidential helper said the recharging of the arrangements followed a presentation assessment, which required an endorsement for continuation in office of the envoys, and the President will at present choose if they will stay in their present postings.

The ministers whose arrangements were recharged are Uzoma Emenike (Abia); Yusuf Tuggar (Bauchi); Muhammad Madugu (Bauchi); Baba Jidda (Borno); Uyigue Oghogho (Edo); Eniola Ajayi (Ekiti); and Deborah Iliya (Kaduna).

Others are Mohammed Rimi (Katsina); Tijjani Muhammad-Bande (Kebbi); Modupe Irele (Lagos); Adeyinka Asekun (Ogun); and Goni Bura (Yobe).

“The President, once more, compliments the diplomats on the restoration, encouraging them to continue maintaining and advancing the estimations of stewardship to Nigeria, while crossing over great relations with different countries,” the announcement included.

Emenike is right now Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ireland; Tugar is Nigerian Ambassadors to Germany; Jidda is Nigeria’s Ambassador to China; while Irele is Nigerian Ambassador to France.
